Dr. ISSAM ZAID ALTAWARI

Managing Partner, Newbury Economic Consulting, Kuwait

Dr. Issam Al Tawari is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of Newbury Economic Consulting which is focused on DCM advisory and providing SME infrastructure support.

He was the founder , Chairman and Managing Director of Rasameel Structured Finance Company a Capital Markets focused Investment Company supervised by the Capital Markets Authority/Central Bank of Kuwait and Chairman of Rasameel Investment Bank a Dubai based, DIFC regulated bank. His latest area of interest is the development of Islamic debt capital markets.

He started his career with Arab Banking Corporation (ABC), Bahrain working in the Commercial Banking area. He then worked extensively on Corporate Finance issues with ABC’s what then was a newly incorporated subsidiary in 1994 ABC Islamic Bank to become Associate Director for syndications and marketing. He joined The International Investor (TII), Kuwait in 1998 in the Structured Finance area. His last position with TII was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) .

He served on the board of directors of a number of companies and funds in the GCC. He regularly speaks at Islamic Banking industry conferences and seminars.

He is a member of the Kuwaiti Economics Society the Kuwaiti Islamic Economic Society and was a member of Young Arab Leaders Association (YAL). He Holds Doctorate of Business Administration from Durham University Business School. In addition, he is both a Harvard Business School and Henley Management College Alumni and has also received his MBA from University of Hull (Dist.), England in 1998 and his B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Kuwait University in 1987.


Mr. Khaled Hussein Hamed

Khaled is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 17 years of experience, and he is a certified auditor in Egypt. He establishes a professional accounting service firm and he brings a wealth of experience to the practice.

His work experience includes, Audit Manager in Russell Bedford, Kuwait (Audit firm), Senior Internal audit at Kuwait Finance House (Bank), Senior Audit at Crowe Horvath, Kuwait (Audit firm), Financial Analyst at ESP, Egypt, Senior Audit in Deloitte Egypt (Audit firm) and External Broker at OKAZ Brokerage, Egypt.


Mr. Mostafa Radwan

Finance Director

Mr. Mostafa Radwan With more than 22 years of financial experience with a number Gulf based companies and in different sectors such as commercial, real estate and investments. The addition to extensive experience in financial consulting and studies of businesses across the gulf area and Turkey. He brings a wealth of experience to the practice, where he practice.

worked in Leadership positions in the following firms: C & B Consulting, Senyar Int Real Estate, Kuwait. SHUWAIKH GATE Holding, Kuwait, Alluqman General Trading, Kuwait, Alf Laila, sharm alshaikh, Egypt.


Rudy Yaksick

Senior Advisor

Mr. Yaksick is a financial economist specializing in the design of Investment Funds targeting alternative assets. He worked with USAID, as he led the evaluation of a Jordan Investment Company attempting to close the seed-Round A financing gap faced by Jordanian startups. Also, he developed a working capital demand model for Micro and Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) located in Uganda and Nigeria.
Prior to his consulting assignments, Mr. Yaksick was a Partner at a pioneering Kuwaiti Investment Bank. In that capacity, he structured Shariah-compliant TMT transactions and led private placements throughout the GCC. His research projects focus on the design of blockchain platforms that improve the delivery of supply chain finance to SMEs as well as weather-indexed crop insurance enabling smallholder farmers to hedge production risk due to climate hazards.
Mr. Yaksick earned the M.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed all course work and examination requirements for the Ph.D. degree (ABD status). While attending PENN, he was a Research Fellow at the Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 Securities Licenses.
